founded by aspiring writer thomas bearpaw in 2020, the bearpaw is a blog posting 110% true stories from the big sky state. thomas loves satire sites like the onion and babylonbee but was displeased with the lack of montana stories on their sites. deciding to buck up or shut up thomas decided he would start a site where he could post his own satirical montana stories.
